Brent York, President and CEO

Leveraging over three decades as a professional in the lighting industry, with expertise in innovation, technology development, business strategy, and IP, Brent led a strategic research team as the CTO for TIR Systems Ltd. that spawned over 100 inventions (including the LEXEL™) that were central to TIR’s 2007 acquisition by Philips. He subsequently held a senior strategic role advising Philips Lighting and Philips Intellectual Property and Standards on R&D investment, global IP strategy, and M&A opportunities in solid-state lighting. Brent is also an inventor in over 50 innovations in lighting technology.

Brent holds degrees in Engineering Physics and Business Administration and is a professional engineer and an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.

Howard Earhart, Chairman

Howard Earhart was formerly the Chairman and CEO of Power Integrations (POWI), an analog semiconductor company which now has $300 million in revenue and a $1.5 billion market cap. Power Integrations currently sells over one billion components per year to the consumer electronics industry. Howard was previously the CEO of Lin Data (a thin film disk manufacturer), and Amcodyne (a hybrid disk storage manufacturer). Earlier, he served as president of Information Magnetics and as president of the Consumer Products group at Memorex. Howard began his career as a development engineer at Eastman Kodak. He graduated with a B.S. in Engineering from Clarkson University. In addition to his responsibilities at LensVector, Howard is also a board member at Sandel Avionics, a supplier of advanced avionics display systems.

Dr. Tigran Galstian, CTO

Dr. Tigran Galstian and his research team (located in Quebec City, Canada) developed the LensVector tunable liquid crystal lens technology at Laval University in the Center for Optics, Photonics and Lasers (Quebec,Canada) where he is currently a professor of Engineering Physics. Galstian brings more than 30 years of experience of R&D work in academic and industrial fields in Europe and North America. More recently, Dr. Tigran won the Manning Prize in 2014 for his innovations in liquid crystal technology.

He has co-authored more than 650 technical articles, communications and patents, including the majority of LensVector-related patents. Galstian earned his doctorate and master’s from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.

Thomas Killick, VP Business Development

Thomas Killick worked managing business development activities at many startups over the last 30 years, most recently these include Precision Optical Systems (acquired by Flextronics), CATC (acquired by Croy) and Component Intertechnologies. He holds a BSc. in mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London.
